For years people will be displaying photos of their wedding, since it is that kind of occasion. Your clients – the bride and groom to be – will want the best and will want the quality guaranteed. If you choose to be a wedding photographer you can make a lot of money by doing so. With the money comes the risk which you must manage well.
If this is going to be your first wedding shoot you will want to make sure your contract is written up properly and a disclaimer included in it. If you don’t have a disclaimer you could be sued afterwards. There are a few reason you should not be held accountable for and they are failure of equipment, miss placed pictures after they were sent away, and photos that do not develop properly. Otherwise you could get sued for breach of contract.
Now with that said you should also include how many pictures are to be taken and how long you will be photographing for and what hourly rate will be. Include how much the cost of development is and the cost of the album. Make sure you discuss with your clients what their requirements are. There could be a particular family member that they want photographed separately, or a certain group of people they do not get to see very often.
Your clients will probably request certain photographs so make sure you make a list. Here are a few common ones, pre-ceremony, wedding ceremony, post-ceremony and reception. Discuss with the clients about which shots they want and who’s going to be in the pictures. Pay attention to what your clients are saying because each one will be different.

The selection of a marriage venue is always top of the list of priority for any wedding planning. The venue, whether traditional or modern, plays a vital role in giving the marriage its unique identity, and the selected venue finds its place in the wedding photographs.
Bridal photography is a critical part of the wedding and the photographer must be clearly told about what the couple’s expectations are. A good bridal photographer should know how to capture the beauty of the bride as well as of the venue in his photographs. A fine balance between the bridal photography and venue photography can only be achieved by a seasoned photographer.
Every venue offers its own exclusive characteristics and backdrop for bridal photography. Conventional church weddings are as much in vogue as weddings in modern venues. Religious venues are undoubtedly very pictorial because of their architectural splendour and are a source of endless possibilities to all kinds of wedding photographers.
But it is not that easy to get the correct wedding photographs inside most venues. A good strategy would be to check if there is some scenic outdoor space near the venue that can be used for the task. Experienced bridal and wedding photographers, by virtue of their vast experience can help you well in your hunt for the right venue.
Don’t forget that the task has only just begun even after selecting the venue as far as bridal photography is concerned. A good wedding photographer must aim at not only clicking the natural attractiveness inherent to a venue, but also enhancing it through his photography skills. Much depends on the expertise and ability of the photographer, so the more proficient he is in his art, the better he will be able to deliver as expected.
